A Capitol Expansion

What does a mom of two young boys need? A bathroom of her very own! In this Wardman-style Capitol Hill home, we designed a stunning cream-colored bathroom where a closet once stood. The boys' bathroom got a refresh with a new vanity and shower while the first floor laundry room was transformed into an eclectic powder room featuring purple-gray shiplap against black and white cement tiles. Sweet Baby Gemma's Nursery

From her sister's armoire to her brother's changing table and crib, Gemma's room is a mix of hand-me down furniture, paint and accessories, but the room was made all her own with the addition of rose quartz linens and tranquil blue-green accents. Photos by Maria Helena Carey.
