Rustic Modern or Modern Rustic?

A family room featuring reclaimed wood details and accented with modern decor in the Glen Echo Park neighborhood of Bethesda, Maryland, gives a family of five the colorful, yet calming, space they longed for. Photos by Maria Helena Carey.

The Classic Row Home

An Adams Morgan home belonging to a family of four needed a parlour fit for entertaining and a family room, well, fit for a family. Fun is mandatory. Naps are optional. Photos by Maria Helena Carey.

A Capitol Expansion

What does a mom of two young boys need? A bathroom of her very own! In this Wardman-style Capitol Hill home, we designed a stunning cream-colored bathroom where a closet once stood. The boys' bathroom got a refresh with a new vanity and shower while the first floor laundry room was transformed into an eclectic powder room featuring purple-gray shiplap against black and white cement tiles. an ever-evolving living space

Four paint colors, six sofas, and countless occasional tables later, this Capitol Hill living room finally feels like home. Photos by Maria Helena Carey.

Sweet Baby Gemma's Nursery

From her sister's armoire to her brother's changing table and crib, Gemma's room is a mix of hand-me down furniture, paint and accessories, but the room was made all her own with the addition of rose quartz linens and tranquil blue-green accents. Photos by Maria Helena Carey.
